About AED What is AED?
- AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. AED is a medical devices that automatically measure and analyze electrocardiograms, and deliver an electric shock (defibrillation) to victims in a state of cardiac arrest (ventricular fibrillation), when the heart has lost its ability to pump blood to the heart in a normal rhythm.
- Today, anyone can easily operate AED to save lives by following the ECG guidance. It allows anyone to proceed correctly. However, the shock will not be made to those who do not require an electric shock based on the AED's automatic analysis.
